About us
Cymunedoli Cyf is an organisation of social enterprises that promotes community entrepreneurship.
We help people on the ground in our communities to take responsibility over their future and offers guidance and support along the way as well with introducing the term “communisation” to others
What is Cymunedoli Cyf?
Cymunedoli is a Welsh term which means the coming together of a community. It also means that our communities own and manage resources and labour for the benefit of our communities. Throughout Wales’ history, our communities have been exploited for the benefit of others. Together, we can change this!
Cymunedoli Cyf is an innovative and exciting network, which works with and supports community initiatives.
The idea began following a series of informal conversations over the summer of 2022. The conclusion was that community initiatives across Gwynedd needed to establish a network. The purpose would be to support each other’s efforts, strengthen the case for co-operation across Gwynedd, and help the local economy. By spring 2023, Cymunedoli Cyf was formed as a company and community initiative.
